A new project is appealing for tech donations to help disadvantaged students.
Research carried out by Trinity College has found almost 70 per cent of students in DEIS schools don't have access to a proper tech device, with many homeschooling off a phone.
The Tech2Students campaign is aiming to send 5,000 devices to DEIS schools nationwide, with some already delivered to Foróige in Portarlington.
Project manager, Mountmellick's Lorraine Curham says they're looking for devices from 2015, including laptops, tablets and macbooks:
