Parents and guardians can apply for first-year and special class places through the system.
A new pilot online application system for post-primary school admissions is being trialed in three schools in Offaly.
The system, available at applytoschool.ie until the 22nd of October, allows parents and guardians to apply for first-year places, including special class placements.
The Minister for Education and Youth, Helen McEntee TD, is welcoming the launch, calling it a "major step toward delivering a nationwide common application system."
It's to be piloted in Coláiste Choilm, Killina Presentation Secondary School, Sacred Heart Secondary School and Tullamore College.
While schools in Athenry, Celbridge, Clonakilty, Greystones, and Wicklow are also taking part.
