Offaly Councillor Aoife Masterson says people have concerns about the planned development for Inchmore House in Clara.
A Midlands community is 'outraged' due to the lack of planning on a new asylum seeker centre.
That's according to Offaly Councillor Aoife Masterson following an email from the Department of Justice confirming Inchmore House in Clara is set to potentially house over 200 beneficiaries of temporary protection.
The Sinn Féin rep believes the Government knows how inappropriate the decision is as the numbers accommodated will increase from 36 to a maximum of 230 later this month.
She says people in Clara already lack access to basic services such as GP, dental, and mental health supports as it is:
