The anti- speeding operation runs until midnight.

A Westmeath motorist has been recorded at 142km/h in a 120km/h Zone on the M6 in Athlone.
Offaly motorists were also caught through Gardaí speed checks at the 60 km/h zone outside Killeen National School in Rivertown in Birr.
One motorist was going 99 km/h which was 1.5 times the speed limit while the other motoris recorded at 83 km/h.
While in Portarlington this morning, 95 kilometers an hour was recorded in an 80 km/h zone.
Road deaths have fallen from thirty-eight people on this day last year to twenty-four so far this year.
