Over 500 people and 100 boats have been aided on a midlands lake by its latest lifeboat.
30,778 lives have been saved by RNLI Inshore Lifeboats over the past sixty years.
One such life-saving vessel is the 'Tara Scougall' Atlantic 85 B Class in Lough Ree, county Westmeath.
The boat has so far helped over 533 people and 152 boats since it arrived at Lough Ree RNLI lifeboat station in November 2019.
Prior to the Tara Scougall, there were the 'Margaret Bench of Solihull', the 'Eric Rowse', the 'Martin Harvey', with the stations first lifeboat being the 'Dorothy Mary'.
