Midlands Heritage Week events celebrating waterbodies are being awarded funding.
In Offaly over €1,300 euro is being granted to projects, such as Ballycumber Tidy Towns and Clara Heritage Society.
Whereas Laois projects such as Camross Tidy Towns and Vicarstown Grand Canal Heritage Group is set to receive €750.
The Local Authority Waters Programme is funding 82 events in 24 counties under the ‘Water Heritage Day Grants Scheme.
Nationwide over €30,000 is being provided to Heritage Week projects.
