Local authorities in the midlands have been allocated over €3.3 million for rural water services projects from 2019 to 2021.
Offaly will receive more than half that total - €1.8 million for four developments in the area.
Laois is been given just under €900,000 for six initiatives.
While Westmeath is receiving less than a third of the funding of the Faithful County - €561,000 for its four projects.
In total, Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Eoghan Murphy announced €54 million in capital investment which he says will benefit around 104,000 households.
