A patient who's been medically discharged from a Midlands hospital, has remained in there for over two years because there is nowhere suitable for them to go.
The Irish Independent is reporting the person, who is staying in Tullamore Hospital, is one of two in Irish hospitals who have been there for two years or longer.
Up to 27 patients have been discharged but remained in Irish hospitals for over seven months, with another 47 who have been unable to move on for between four and six months.
Overall 407 discharges remained in wards as of August of this year.
