They want to expand to other clubs over the next few years.
A Laois rotary club is looking for a sponsor for skydive experience for people with physical disabilities.
"Handitandem" will offer up to sixteen people across Portlaoise the chance to do a tandem jump from a plane with an experienced skydiver at the end of May.
It's inspired by a Rotary branch in the French town of Matha who started the concept, with hopes to expand to other clubs over the next few years.
The Portlaoise Irish Wheelchair Association, the VIP Hub in the town and the Naas Rotary club will have members taking part.
Costs for the project will include up to €400 per person.
