€246,000 was the average price tag on a house in the region in January, according to the CSO, which is up €2,000 on December.
Offaly continues to offer the cheapest option for homebuyers in the midlands, with a fee of €235,000.
That figure is €250,000 in Westmeath, and €255,000 in Laois.
A €445,000 price tag leaves the Capital as the most expensive county for a home, while Leitrim offers the cheapest option in the country, at €165,000.
