Lucia Istokova admitted withholding information in relation to her husband’s whereabouts.
Jozef Puska’s wife will be sentenced later today for withholding information from gardai in the early stages of the investigation into Ashling Murphy’s murder.
His two brothers, and their wives are also awaiting sentence for their roles in either withholding information or destroying evidence relevant to the investigation.
Two years ago, Jozef Puska was found guilty of murdering Ashling Murphy along the banks of the Grand Canal in Tullamore.
And over the summer, his two brothers, Marek and Lubomir, were found guilty of withholding information from gardai in the days after he stabbed her to death.
Their wives, Jozefina Grundzova and Viera Gazoiva were convicted of assisting Jozef Puska by burning the clothes he was wearing when he killed the 23yo schoolteacher.
They’re all due to be sentenced today.
So too is Jozef Puska’s wife, Lucia Istokova, who admitted withholding information in relation to her husband’s whereabouts and movements on the night of the murder.
She also failed to reveal that he returned home with visible injuries, that he owned a bike left at the scene and crucially, that he told her he killed a woman with a knife.
