It's being deemed a road safety issue.
The Road Haulage Association says some hauliers are losing 2 mirrors a week on their fleet, due to overgrown hedgerows.
It's estimated the damage to trucks is costing some of its members 1 thousand euro every week to repair.
Hedge cutting is prohibited from March to August to preserve wildlife, however the association says failure to manage hedges is forcing drivers out of their lanes just to see ahead.
