22 primary and 10 secondary schools have received robotics kits.
Laois Libraries have turned into a cool hub of creativity as families joined in robot-building sessions hosted by STEM Engagement Officer Seanie Morris.
Over one week, Seanie visited six library branches to deliver hands-on robotics, engineering, and coding workshops.
Children aged 8 to 14 built and drove BaseBots using the VEX IQ system and playing a high-tech version of Red Light Green Light.
The workshops are part of Laois County Council’s plan to bring STEM into every school.
Already, 22 primary and all 10 secondary schools have received robotics kits.
The initiative supports Laois’s Pathway to Just Transition by inspiring future engineers and innovators.
