Bord na Mona is facing a possible sale.
Bord na Mona employees are to meet with SIPTU later this month to consider strike action.
The trade union believes the last independent waste collector in the country is up for sale, and with KWD Recycling expected to be in pole position for a potential acquisition.
The meeting will take place later this month after SIPTU have attempted to reach out to Bord Na Mona twice on the issue, but is yet to receive a response.
