The service is in need of around €50k.
The Tánaiste has given a commitment to request the Health Minister consider a request for funding for a midlands cancer support service.
Dóchas, which is based in Tullamore, needs around €50,000, or it could be facing a major operating deficit for 2023.
The service was denied the funding earlier this year, after making a proposal to the HSE.

The HSE is yet to respond to an invite to visit a midlands cancer support service, nearly two months after it was issued.
Dóchas sent the invite to the Health Service at the beginning of September, in a bid to acquire more funding.
