A Midlands MEP is calling on local authorities to review limits on once-off planning permissions for rural areas.
Ciaran Mullooly is Chair of the European Parliament’s Special Housing Crisis Committee and is highlighting the tradition of building a house on family land in Ireland.
He feels the current restrictions in place are unnecessarily preventing people from accessing that land to build on , and is calling for full activation of the Just Transition Fund to help communities.
