A Westmeath hotel has been given the green light for a major expansion.
An existing premises on No.7 Pearse Street in Mullingar is set to be demolished, with a new four storey extension to be added to the existing Annebrook House Hotel.
The development also includes a new restaurant, breakfast room, reception, an extended bar area and 60 new bedrooms.
Internal works will also be carried out on a neighbouring premises to add a new connection to the hotel, with changes to the hotel's entrances.
Westmeath County Council approved the application filed by the hotel's owner, Bertie Dunne subject to 11 conditions.
