'Eire Dynamics' from Athlone's Our Lady's Bower is looking to win the national championship.
An all-girls team from Athlone is bidding to represent Ireland in STEM Racing this October.
'Eire Dynamics' from Our Lady's Bower is currently ranked among the top five teams in the country going into the national championships on May 12th.
Niamh McNamara, Muireann Galvin, Hannah Ganly and Amelia Nally form the team, which designs and manufactures mini Formula 1 cars to take part in a circuit race.
They use CAD simulation to see how the car will preform on the track, before 3D printing the design.
