Works at a controversial asylum seeker accommodation centre in Westmeath will cease tomorrow after a hearing at the High Court today.
The case, taken by a number of Athlone representatives against the Department of Integration over plans for a 1,000 person capacity site, has been adjourned.
The decision came at a hearing today after the State's legal representatives made the request so that the winding down of the Athlone site can be managed in an orderly way after Christmas.
Minister for Integration, Roderic O'Gorman has already conceded the case.
Longford Westmeath TD Kevin Boxer Moran, along with Councillors Aengus O'Rourke, Paul Hogan, Frankie Keena, and John Dolan were behind the move to oppose the centre.
