There was a year-on-year drop in Laois property crimes in the first quarter of this year.
Figures from the county's Joint Policing Committee meeting shows there was almost 300 cases of property crime, down from 327 in the same period last year.
Burglaries saw a decrease of 12 cases, and thefts were down by 10.
Instances that saw increases include theft from the shop and robberies from the person.
Unauthorised taking of vehicles increased to 23, from 13 in the same period last year, with 11 of those all relating to the same case.
