A trade Union is calling on the Government to intervene in Tara Mines dispute if company does not withdraw its current approach.
Tara Mines have issued a redundancy scheme, which is being described as "significantly worse" than what was previously agreed, according to trade union Unite.
The company has also progressed on proposals to cut the work force by a third and to reduce the terms and conditions of any remaining worker.
A concilliation hearing was held at the Work Place Relations Commission, with Tara Mines being given a deadline of Janary 22nd when the WRC reconvenes.
