Changes To Social Welfare Payments Could Be Incoming

Midlands recruiter says there are some red flags that might be behind potential changes.

Sinn Féin has welcomed reports the government is planning to overhaul the system for jobseekers' benefit.

The payment could be reformed in the Budget to see people get a percentage of their salary in a welfare payment after losing their job.

At the moment people entering onto the payment get the standard rate of 208 euro a week.

Meanwhile a midlands recruitment expert is warning that a change in policy around social welfare could indicate a potential slow down in the economy.

Chief Executive of FRS Recruitment, Colin Donnery says there's similarities between 2007 and today.
