It's set to examine the HSE's spending on the building's facilities and maintenance.
The Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee will investigate the case of Erkina House in Laois.
According to the committee's chair, Laois-Offaly TD Brian Stanley, they will be examining the HSE's spending on the maintenance of the mental health facility.
The HSE announced the closure of the closure of the centre and transfer of its 12 residents to a new centre in Tullamore back in April, but shelved those plans after facing local opposition.
Sinn Féin's Deputy Stanley says the wellbeing of the residents should be the priority:
