Westmeath and Laois County Councils are engaging in a new turnkey scheme to boost housing stock.
Housing developers are being asked to consider offering unbuilt houses or apartments with planning permission to Westmeath and Laois County Councils.
They're among 13 local authorities entering advance purchase arrangements to secure turnkey homes.
The call is targeted at developments between 10 and 150 homes in size.
