It'll go towards improving roads in the area between 2022 and 2024.
Councillors in Westmeath have agreed on a €9.3 million roads package for the Athlone-Moate area over the next three years.
The locations and budgets for road improvement projects between 2022 and 2024 have been set out, with just over €3 million being allocated each year under the Municipal District's Multi-Annual Restoration Improvement Programme.
Four regional roads have been chosen for upgrades next year, while the most expensive works will take place on Brittas Road in Glasson, at €215,000.
