A recommendation of downgrading Portlaoise Hospital has been in place for three years.
Fianna Fáil needs to turn its noise about Portlaoise Hospital into action.
That's according to Laois-Offaly Sinn Fein TD Brian Stanley, who says successive governments have kicked the can down the road on this issue.
A HSE report previously recommended downgrading the Midlands Regional Hospital, and the Health Minister promised a public consultation on the issue three years ago.
Deputy Stanley says, while in opposition, Fianna Fáil also promised to step up:
