A 45-year-old Lithuanian man remains in Garda custody after €1m in cash was seized in Co Kildare yesterday morning.
It was found in a van on the M7 after the vehicle was stopped by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
The man was arrested on suspicion of membership of a criminal gang, involved in money laundering and drug trafficking.
€10,000 was found in follow-up searches in the midlands.
