A midlands disabled man said he has to choose between paying road tax or for food.
The government's track record on supporting those with disabilities is "a disgrace", according to a disabled midlands man.
Moate's David Digan is telling the Oireachtas Committee on Disabilities he is left with the choice of paying for road tax and or for food.
Mr Digan says he's doesn't qualify for a Primary Medical Cert, which allows disabled drivers to avail of vehicle registration tax and VAT relief.
Under the criteria, he's not eligible unless he's lost both hands or both arms.
