Several anomalies have been detected that could be the remains of babies.
New findings at the site of a midlands mother and baby home are being described as "gut wrenching".
The Angel Plot at Séan Ross Abbey in Roscrea, was scanned using ground penetrating radar from TST Engineering.
Previously, the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes found 42 infant remains during an excavation of the site.
The recent scan has identified anomalies all across the plot.
Currently, 1,090 babies from the Abbey are missing.
