It comes after the death of eight residents at the Laois facility from covid-19.
A consultant psychiatrist in the HSE says the sufficient supports are now in place at the Maryborough Centre in Laois.
Eight residents at the psychiatric facility for older people died from covid-19 last weekend.
Some existing staff have now also contracted the virus and others have been redeployed to replace them.
Dr. Siobhán Ní Bhriain says they're doing everything they can now to prevent and control any further spread of infection at the centre:
