The HSE says it will meet with a Midlands hospice committee over the question of money owed to the group.
Members of the Offaly Hospice Committee claim the Health Service promised to repay €312,000 spent developing a proposal for a facility on the grounds of Tullamore Hospital.
Ultimately those plans were never realised, and a hospice serving the entire Midlands region on Arden Lane in Tullamore was recently given the greenlight..
Senior management told councillors at this week's Regional Health Forum it will hold another meeting with the group, despite previously saying it was under "no obligation" to pay back monies owned.
