The teacher faces a €700 fine for every day he attends Wilson's Hospital School in Westmeath.
Enoch Burke believes he is being punished for his religious beliefs, by having to pay a daily fine.
The €700 fine kicked in from 2pm yesterday, after Mr Burke missed a deadline set by the judge for purging his contempt.
Instead of going to the High Court, Mr Burke again turned up at Wilson's Hospital School in Co Westmeath yesterday morning.
Speaking to reporters before he left the school yesterday, he said he'll be 'holding on' to his beliefs:
