A Laois leisure centre is receiving a €300,000 grant to upgrade its facilities.
The funding, for Portarlington Leisure Centre, is coming under the Department of Sport's Large Scale Sports Infrastructural grant.
It'll go towards carrying out essential safety works and refurbishment to future-proof the 13 year old facility.
It was also recently named Ireland's Best Leisure Centre for 2020 at the National Quality Standard Awards.
