The Ploughing Championships kick off next Tuesday.
Laois motorists are being advised to expect traffic delays similar to Electric Picnic, when the Ploughing kicks off next week.
Garda Chief Superintendent John Scanlan hailed the three day Stradbally festival as a success, and says both the Picnic and the Ploughing Championships are 'very good things for the county.'
He's praising the people of the Laois for the success of both events throughout the years, and says "they are very tolerant of what has been going on."
Superintendent Scanlan also highlighted the minimal amount of offences committed at EP, referring to one very serious assault, and a number of drug arrests, and says it went 'reasonably well' given there were 80,000 people there.
