Two cars went up in flames in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Gardaí are investigating a suspected incident of arson in Westmeath.
Two vehicles were burnt out in the Ansfield Woods area of Baylough, Athlone at around 6.30 yesterday morning.
Gardaí suspect one car was intentionally set on fire, and the second vehicle caught alight due to its proximity.
Any witnesses who were in the area at the time and have camera or dashcam footage is asked to contact their local station.
Investigations are ongoing.
