Rents are up over 13% in 12 months in Laois.
Rents continue to rise across the midlands, with the last quarter seeing a more than 10% increase, on the year before for each county.
The latest Daft.ie report indicates Laois renters are being the hardest hit in the region with a jump in monthly rents of 13.4% when compared to last year.
The average cost of rent there is now €1,556.
They're up 12.1% in Westmeath to €1,655, and 10.3% in Offaly at an average of €1,542.
Nationally, report shows monthly rents rose for the 14th consecutive quarter, averaging at €1,922 nationwide.
