The local development association chair is confident it will attract additional business to the area.
A midlands town will be the focus of a new €500,000 tourism project.
The initiative will link Kilcormac with the Lough Boora Discovery Park, promoting the heritage of the area and the integral role it played in the history of Bord na Móna.
Joint-funded by Just Transition and the Kilcormac Development Association, the project will include a tourism office, a bike-hire service and remote-working hub.
