Planning permisson has been granted to develop a new outdoor pool along the bank of the River Shannon in Banagher.
The project is expected to cost around €400,000 - it's hoped three quarters of the funding will come from a government grant, with the remainder to be raised by the Banagher Shannon Bank Park group.
The project includes removing the existing pool
The group has already raised around €10,000 through scheme where people pay €100 to have a their nameplate around the pool.
