There will be no funding provided for an Offaly road until next year at the earliest.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has confirmed to Laois Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan there will be no finances put on the N52 Kilbeggan to Tullamore road at Durrow until at least 2025.
Funding had been provided to progress the project, but was withdrawn in 2023.
