Offaly Farmer Says Overcoming Learning Difficulties Inspired Confidence

Kevin O'Duffy is now an ambassador for the National Adult Literacy Agency.

Going back to education can be a life changing experience according to Offaly man Kevin O'Duffy.

Kevin struggles with literacy and numeracy lead to him living in fear of what would come through his letterbox.

Meanwhile research indicates that one in four people in Ireland or a family member, or friend struggles with reading, writing, and spelling.

The Shannonbridge farmer went back to education to pass his junior cert in English and Math and now works with the National Adult Literacy Agency as an ambassador.

He says having the confidence to ask for help has made an enormous difference:
