Offaly County Council is due to make a decision by July 22.
Plans have been submitted for a major solar farm project on agricultural land in Offaly.
The proposed 143 hectare development by Raheen Beg Solar Limited, includes solar panels, access tracks, fencing, CCTV, and supporting electrical infrastructure.
If approved, the solar farm would operate for 40 years while allowing continued agricultural use, including livestock grazing on Raheenbeg, Ballychristal, Killarles, and Bawnmore townlands.
Construction is expected to take around six months, with the site to be restored and equipment recycled or reused after decommissioning.
Offaly County Council is due to make a decision by July 22.
