SSE is hosting the meeting in Tullamore today.
A public consultation meeting is taking place in Offaly over a proposed battery storage.
SSE is hosting the meeting at St Mary’s Youth and Community Centre, Harbour Street, Tullamore today.
The event will run from 2.30pm this afternoon, through to 8pm this evening.
The Tinnycross project is a proposed battery energy storage system to be located on a greenfield site.
SSE says the system would help balance the national grid, and provide backup energy when the wind isn’t blowing, or the sun isn’t shining.
Members of the SSE Renewables project team will be available at the consultation evening to provide more information, answer questions, and gather feedback.
In addition to the in-person event, project materials and an online feedback form will be available on the project website from 8th May until 29th May.
