Report Warns Mental Health Services Must Improve In Four Key Areas

Public mental health services in Ireland face a 'real' risk of being removed from the register of approved centres, if compliance doesn't improve.

That's the key finding from the Mental Health Commission's Annual Report, which found just over 30% of centres were not compliant with the regulation for individual care planning.

Meanwhile, in CHO8, the Maryborough Centre on St. Fintan's Campus in Portlaoise had an overall compliance rate of 94% and the Department of Psychiatry Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise was at 87%.

St Bridget's Ward, & St Marie Goretti's Ward at Cluain Lir Care Centre in Mullingar had a compliance rate of 74%, and the Admission Unit & St Edna's Unit,St. Loman's in Mullingar was at 81%
