Minister for Further and Higher Education, says the funding will help TUS drive jobs and investment into the future.
Technological Universities around the country are in line to benefit from an €83 million investment.
The T-U Rise fund will support research capacity building, with a focus on institutions enhancing engagement with enterprises.
The Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme, which includes TUS Athlone, will benefit from €63 million.
Applications will close on September 14th, with projects expected to commence in 2024.
