The increases in those on the Live Register are significant.
Unemployment is on the rise in the midlands according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.
Westmeath, Laois, and Offaly have all seen increases in the number of people on the Live Register in June.
Laois has seen the biggest jump of those signing on at 6%, the figure is 4.5% in Offaly, and just under 4% in Westmeath.
Those increases are in strong contrast to that of April through to May: Offaly +0.7%, Westmeath -0.9%, and Laois -3.3%.
Nationally, there's been a 0.1% increase.
