Yoga Sector Lobbying Government To Cut VAT

Many studios are facing permanent closure.

The Association of Irish Yoga Studios is lobbying the government to cut the VAT to get back on the mat.

Like many instructors, Tricia Fleming from Hot Yoga Athlone - has been conducting classes online during lockdown.

But she says the industry, which caters for 300,000 people, needs to get back up and running.

Ms. Fleming says financial support is the only solution and over 100 studios have joined together to appeal to the government for the sector to be included in a stimulus package:
