One male will appear before the courts this morning.
Four people have been arrested as part of an investigation into vehicle thefts.
Two male teenagers were arrested after a car was stolen and seen driving on the M7 and was then found on the N80.
A second vehicle, which was reported as stolen and failed to stop for Gardaí in Newbridge, was also found abandoned.
One of the teens was charged and is due to appear before Kilkenny District Court this morning - the other three have been released without charge, pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
A technical examination is due to be carried out on the stolen vehicles.
