The Minister for Education is once again being urged to re-instate funding for a midlands special school.
Laois Offaly Sinn Féin TD Brian Stanley has been speaking in the Dáil this morning, ahead of a meeting taking place in Portlaoise this evening which will highlight the need for a new Kolbe Special School building.
The project was one of 58 to be put on hold earlier this month, due to Capital Funding pressures.
43 students attend the current Kolbe school, which has been described as being in a 'deplorable' condition.
